We created a collective intelligence platform where people who are somehow touched or affected by psychological vulnerability or mental illness can share experiences and gain understanding and knowledge of their own or and that of others’ experiences. The goal was to bridge the gap between stigmatized groups of people who have been diagnosed or suffer from mental health issues, and the public community (including their friends and relatives.
The platform is a collaborative media website in a hybrid form of Wikipedia and Pinterest. The users are able to share their experiences and feelings in whatever creative manner they wish. This feature can be accessed from the home page.
The idea of the website is to let the users moderate the content themselves. The only textual elements that we included were an “About"-page, "Guidelines" and "Help"-page; these pages visually explains the platform’s vision, how content will be moderated, and how the user’s confidentiality and personal information will be handled.
